
Ron Richardson is Director of Worship and Music here at FPC Roseville.
He has served here since 2003. Ron grew up in a Lutheran Church playing his first service on the organ at age 12. He attended Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) graduating with a degree in Music Ed. Ron also attended Louisiana State U. graduating with a MMUS in Choral Conducting. Before coming to FPC, he served as full time director of worship at Church of the Crossroads in Laredo Texas which is a Charismatic, Non-Denominational church. Ron has taught choir/voice or orchestra at all levels (K-college) including schools in Iowa, Louisiana, and Texas. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Worship Arts degree at the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Orange Park, Florida.
Ron has been married to Ruth for 21 years and has a son Jared (17) who plays the French horn, and a daughter Elise (15) who plays the 'cello.
Here at FPC Ron oversees and coordinates all aspects of the Worship Department. He is directly responsible for conducting the Calvin Choir, the FPC Orchestra, and the Jubilee Ringers.
If money or time were no object, I would vacation in: one month in London and one month in a cottage in the English countryside.
My favorite ethnic food is: anything Thai.
The most thought provoking Christian book (not the Bible) I have ever read is: God Chasers by: Tommy Tenney.

My favorite secular book is: Good Night Moon by: Margaret Wise Brown.
My favorite movie is: Gosford Park - I truly am an Anglophile....
If I knew that I couldn’t fail I would: climb Everest.
If I could meet any deceased person (besides Jesus) it would be: J.S. Bach, because: he is the greatest Church musician ever.....he also fathered 18 children (I don't think the two are connected...)
If I knew I only had a month to live I would: take my family on the Orient Express.
I have a heart for people in: the Arts.
