Craig Fetter

craig_fetter.jpgLogging over 20 years as an FOH Engineer, Craig is currently at the helm of the Media Dept. here at First Presbyterian Church Roseville. Prior to arriving at FPC Roseville, Craig spent 2 years setting up the Media Department at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church and an additional two and-a-half years as part of the media team under the bald, goateed gaze of Wade Odum.

Craig started his obsession with all things AV as a trainee sound engineer for the FOPC Youth Choir at age 18 using a powered, 8-channel mixer (with VU meters!). After years of Youth Choir tours, Sunday morning services, weddings, memorials, special events and concerts he branched out to the local music scene working a second job for seven years as the road manager/FOH engineer for two local rock bands. He credits this more than anything in helping hone his skills, not only in communicating with musicians, but in microphone selection, adapting to last minute changes and mixing under pressure.

Craig’s musical foundation began in classical music due to his father being a piano teacher and a former University-level vocal music director. So it was no coincidence that Craig sang as an FOPC church choir member during elementary grades, through junior high and high school, into the adult Chancel Choir and eventually into the audition-only A Cappella Singers. He continues to sing today, when he can find time to step away from behind the console. Along with singing Craig is also a percussionist/drummer (yes, there is a difference!), playing for The Hub (college-age group) here at FPC and performed three years with the Sacramento Freelancers Drum and Bugle Corps while in High School. He has also played as part of an orchestra for various Christmas and Easter church concerts through out the years.

If money or time were no object, I would vacation in:  my secret underground lair.

My favorite ethnic food is:  Sushi

My favorite secular book is:  Ghost Rider  by:  Neal Peart

My favorite movie is:  Monty Python's "The Quest For The Holy Grail"

If I knew that I couldn't fail I would:  jump from a plane without a parachute.

If I could meet any deceased person (besides Jesus) it would be:  Nikola Tesla  because:  he challenged modern concepts regarding time and electromagnetism.  He was decades ahead of his generation.

If I knew I only had a month to live I would:  quit work and travel.

I have a heart for people in:  times of struggle and distress.
